Granja Life in Monteverde is an association of twelve families from Monteverde, Costa Rica, with a solid background in agriculture and nature conservation. Members of the group have various professions and skills, including forestry, environmental education, coffee, agriculture, human resources, and the arts. Our mission is to produce, protect and educate to help perpetuate life on earth. The experience takes place on a 42-acre (17-hectare) farm and extends to the entire Monteverde region. The farm combines areas of coffee production, conservation, organic agriculture, and energy systems with low environmental impact. Our approach to sustainability practice appeals to those involved in educational programs and those interested in learning strategies to reduce environmental impact.
