Live a direct experience with a Costa Rican family, Miguel Leitón and Alicia Mendez, and their 11 children have created this wonderful place throughout their lives. Different dairy, agriculture, and coffee planting projects as activities to ensure the maintenance of the large family. In 1995, the family decided to open the doors of the farm to the public due to the interest shown by visitors when they came into contact with the biodiversity of the place, in addition to being located next to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve. In 2007, with the death of Don Miguel Leitón, the family decided to be faithful to the will that he made known before he died: which is to work together to conserve the land. Currently, the Este farm is a welcoming place for all those who wish to learn about life in the countryside of our country and conservation.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica! Arrival and transfer to La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano.

One of our friendly drivers will be waiting for you at the San José airport (Juan Santamaría) or at the Liberia airport (Daniel Oduber) to take you on a journey of approximately 3 hours through enchanting hills and valleys, hidden in a lush jungle. . . tropical, having the opportunity to see some wildlife while heading to La Fortuna de San Carlos on the slopes of the Arenal Volcano. You will check in at the hotel of your choice, a beautiful Hotel with nice and very comfortable rooms where after checking in you can relax in the hot thermal waters, be sure to rest and then start your exciting week in Costa Rica Hotel, breakfast included.

Day 2: Extreme rafting in class 3 and 4 rivers.

Day 4: Transfer to Monteverde.

Taxi Boat Taxi is a scenic and adventurous way to travel across Lake Arenal in La Fortuna and the volcano to the cloud forest in Monteverde. The hotel includes: breakfast. And we arrived in Monteverde! We continue with the excitement doing a Canopy or Zip Lines since Monteverde is the home of the Canopy and there are the best aerial circuits in the world in several zip lines that will make you live the experience of flying among the treetops of the Cloud Forest and then you will have the relaxing adventure of the Hanging Bridges over the virgin jungle, ideal for breathing and taking beautiful panoramic photographs over the trees of the Cloud Forest.

Day 5: Hike in the Reserve

After breakfast you can choose to walk in the Monteverde Biological Reserve, (Reserva de Santa Elena or Reserva de Curi-cancha) and then to Playa Samara. We will take a walk in one of the Cloud Forest Reserves, being one of the few of its kind that is still virgin in the world where you can enjoy this wonderful Tropical Forest, then you will take the transport to the beach. We go to the beach! You will take your comfortable transport to the small, fun and dynamic Town of Playa Samara so you can see one of the most beautiful sunsets on the Pacific coast and relax with the bohemian culture of Surfing.

Day 6: Kayak and snorkel in Samara.

We set out in the morning, kayaking to Chora Island, recently declared a National Wildlife Refuge, and exploring the surrounding waters with frog legs, mask, and snorkel or tube.

Day 7: Free day!

You will enjoy a free day on the beach of Sámara to sunbathe with a cold Piña Colada, and you can go shopping in town in the afternoon or for a small extra charge you can choose one of these excellent options:

1- Bird watching and aquatic fauna in kayak,

2-observation of adorable dolphins,

3- observation of the majestic turtles.

Day 8: Departure

Our mission is to produce, protect and educate to help perpetuate life on earth. The experience takes place on a 42-acre (17-hectare) farm and extends to the entire Monteverde region. The farm combines areas of coffee production, conservation, organic agriculture, and energy systems with low environmental impact.
